Technology startup Reefill has to ambitious goal to get rid of plastic water bottles. With phone-activated water refill stations, they want to supply filtered tap water anywhere. Members pay $1.99 per month, can then use the Reefill app to look for stations on a map, and use their phone to activate the fountains. Granted you have a reusable water bottle with you, Reefill then offers a convenient water solution without waste and for a low cost.
Right now, their range is limited to eight pilot stations in New York, but Reefill intends to expand quickly with the help of an Indiegogo campaign.
