At INTERGEO 2016 in Hamburg we conducted a scientific study together with the University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt, Department of International Management headed by Prof. Dr. K. Gelbrich.

The goal of the study was to answer the following questions:

  • Does it make sense to use an indoor navigation system instead of a traditional map?
  • How does an indoor navigation system influence how one perceives a venue/exhibition?

Therefore Prof. Gelbrich´s team compared our vanillaNAV indoor navigation system with a traditional navigation map with 166 participants.

The results are really mindblowing and show the very positive influence on how visitors perceive an exhibition or a building that offers indoor navigation and how that effects satisfaction, likelihood to revisit and word-of-mouth.
