France is also planning to catch up on the solar energy power and this became evident after its recent tender to US solar panel manufacturer SunPower. SunPower will provide 194 megawatts worth of solar panels to a wide range of solar projects in France. SunPower Executive Vice President, Peter Aschenbrenner said,”For the second time this year in France’s tender process, SunPower has been selected to supply more winning projects than any other brand. We are proud to be the leading provider of solar panels for the solar projects announced in this first tender round, and to play a key role in promoting the use of clean, renewable solar power in France.” The solar panels will be manufactured in company’s facilities in Toulouse, France.
