Sweden aims to run on renewable energy by 2040. Last year Sweden drew 57 percent of its energy from renewables such as hydropower and wind. The country has steadily increased its wind power. Wind power has become more cost-effective so wind energy is about to replace nuclear energy as a power source. Nuclear power is in comparison more expensive.
