A group from Eindhoven in the Netherlands have created a solar powered family car that can supply energy to the grid. With solar roof tiles and batteries both at home and in the car, energy can either be stored or go back into the grid at times of peak demand. The Stella Vie, claimed by the team to be the most efficient family car to ever be built, might be a look into what the future of electric vehicles holds, particularly for transportation systems as well.
