The Australian company Telstra has launched the world’s first commercially available gigabit 4G network which is a big shift to high-bandwidth and always-on mobile connections. The peak bandwidth is a maximum 150Mbits per second for uploads. The 4G network is only available in Australia, across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane at the moment. It is the fastest mobile network on the planet at the moment and it is paving the way to 5G.
