A recent YouTube video has provided evidence that 40 to 60 Superchargers are being located to a parking garage below the Lilacs International Commercial Center in Shanghai. Until now, the Tesla Supercharger facility in Nebbenes, Norway, has been the largest one in the world, but that does not even feature half as many stalls.
The chargers used appear to be rated at 125 kW, helping Tesla to keep its commitment of having 1,000 Superchargers installed and operating in China by the end of 2017.
