Tesla shareholders approved the 2.23 USD billion acquisition of SolarCity on November 17th. The combined organization will be the world’s first vertical integrated solar, energy storage, and transportation company. Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans a one-stop shop for people who would like to have their homes, businesses and vehicles powered by the sun. Moreover the company will offer glass solar shingles as well as home and commercial energy storage and a fleet of electric vehicles. Tesla took over SolarCity even though SolarCity brings 2.89 billion USD in debt.
