A bridge between New Hampshire and Maine on the east coast of the USA, has been equipped with about 250 sensors to collect data on the bridge and its environment. The sensors will help lower costs of maintenance and is powered by a tidal turbine that is integrated in the pillars of the bridge. The project functions as a test ground for the new technology and for the new structural technology. Upon success, the plan is to apply the same technologies throughout the USA.
