US-based researchers are developing robots that look like snakes and can decrease the disadvantages of surgery as they only require tiny entry points into the body. This means that the snake robot can reach areas in the body that are otherwise hard to operate. On top of that, the robot can find its own way to the place that will be operated by means of sensor-based intelligence.
