Toyota, investing $373.8 million in five US manufacturing plants, is expanding the production of its hybrid powertrains and implementing their New Global Architecture (TNGA) at its Alabama plant.
With the help of these project, Toyota is about halfway toward the company’s commitment to invest $10 billion in the US, as announced by Toyota Motor Corporation CEO Akio Toyoda in January 2017. All of them are scheduled to be operational by 2020.
