The U.S. Air Force aims at implementing resilient energy projects and resilient energy systems throughout the whole enterprise. The diesel energy supply at critical facilities is at risk due to the rising threats related to the climate like intense storms such as Sandy or the climate change. Moreover, the U.S Air Force fears sabotage. Relying on more than one source of energy makes the Air Force less vulnerable.
