The auto leasing company LeasePlan and Uber are partnering in launching 30 all-electric Nissan LEAFs to be installed in Amsterdam and put into the hands of uberX drivers. The pilot will be implemented from October 2017 by LeasePlan. Uber drivers will have the ability to lease Nissan LEAFs via the Uber app, according to LeasePlan terms and additionally, drivers can sign up to a free fast-charging station credit provided by Fastned.
The mutual press release also announced to that the aim is to have more than 200 electric cars operational by the end of 2018, also with the help and cooperation of energy company Nuon that shall help drivers find convenient charging stations near them.
