Uber starts first self-driving service in Arizona

Uber has launched its self-driving Volvo XC90 SUV in Arizona. It is the first state where the Uber cars run. Arizona’s governor Doug Ducey has been a supporter of the plan since the cars were introduced so the start of the program was very welcomed. Compared to California, where Uber wanted to start its service in the first place, Arizona has much friendlier regulatory guidelines for self-driving cars. However, the company will still need two driver engineers to help operate the car.
