The government will spend 390m Pounds to help build on the UK’s leading position in the adoption of electric vehicles and self-driving cars. Chancellor Philip Hammond said in addition to further funding the government would extend tax breaks for EV charging points and corporate tax breaks for ultra-low emission vehicles. This is supposed to boost the green industry which is likely to be overshadowed by the changes to the Office of Budget Responsibility’s fiscal forecast.
