Washington initiative 732, originally started as a grassroot campaign, could make sure that the first ever created carbon-tax would be implemented in the USA. The tax could make it more expensive to emit greenhouse gases. A lot of climate scientists and economists as well as many environmental groups have refused to support to the inititative because of concerns about the proposal’s revenue projections, its approach to the involvement of disadvantaged communities and a lack of true investment in clean energy.
