Volkswagen reveals its MEB-based I.D. CROZZ concept car

Volkswagen revealed the electric concept car, I.D. CROZZ at Auto Shanghai 2017 show.  It is Volkswagen’s first electrically powered crossover utility vehicle (CUV) and third in the new battery-electric I.D. family. The I.D. CROZZ boasts of 225kW (320hp), a top speed of 112 mph (180kmph) with a maximum range of 311 miles, on a single battery charge. A 150kW fast DC charger can be used to recharge around 80% of its battery within 30 minutes. Herbert Diess, Chairman, Volkswagen Brand’s Board of Management said, ” By 2025, we want to have sales of pure electric vehicles up to one million units a year. The I.D. CROZZ will play a key role in that. Production will start in 2020.” This car also illustrates the flexibility of MEB architecture.
