Volvo is delivering eight electric buses, the Volvo 7900 electric, to the owner of the Harrogate Bus Company in the UK. The buses will be on the road in Harrogate in 2018. It is the first of its kind in the UK introducing full electric vehicles using opportunity charging via the common interface OppCharge. The charging stations can also be used by buses from other manufacturers.
