WelectGo is an app that allows you to watch ads instead of paying for a transit ticket worth EUR 2,60 in the city of Dusseldorf, Germany. The app is that popular that the supply of tickets is used up within hours every day. The developers did not expect such a great popularity: planned for a capacity of 1,000 downloads by the end of this year, already more than 20,000 people installed the app. While capacities, numbers of tickets and advertisers have to be extended to meet demands, the plan is to also expand WelectGo to other cities.
