Weeks after Honda said it would incorporate Waymo’s technology into its vehicles, Waymo has developed sensors that connect with its self-driving software. With the help of the new system the car “see” its 360-degree surroundings and navigate using the LIDAR sensors that send out millions of laster points each second and eight vision modules that create a high-resolution picture. The radar system captures objects moving around the car. The new technology could be the start for the company to sell its system that automakers build into future car models.
