After a long wait, Waymo is now all set to test its autonomous car with the public users in Phoenix. With the addition of 500 customized Chrysler Pacifica, Waymo is planning to take one step more towards the autonomous driving. This project will not only make the data available to the company in terms user-experience but it will also reveal the meaningful data in terms of performance etc. under the real world conditions and actual consumers. Waymo’s CEO said, “We’re at the point when it is really important to find how real folks, outside the Google surroundings, will utilize this technology. Our aim is that they will use this for all their transportation needs.” Waymo is also launching an early rider program enabling the users to book Waymo’s minivan using an app and without having to pay for it.
