The World Health Organization recommends to implement a tax on sugary drinks to fight the growing obesity. The price for those drinks would raise 20 percent. In the long term that would save lives, in case of diabetes, and reduce health care costs. Especially middle-income countries are affected. The tax is also seen as a precaution to prevent childhood obesity.
