By announcing the search for its second US corporate headquarters, Amazon has started a fierce bidding competition between US cities. Stonecrest, Georgia, is probably among those with the most outstanding offers: its city council promised to de-annex 345 acres of public land which will be given to the e-commerce giant for developing a company town, to be named City of Amazon. However there are also voices who warn against tax breaks and lax oversight that cities are offering Amazon in exchange for employment opportunities.
