A new app by A Transparent Company allows customers to scan the QR code of a piece of clothing to receive information about the supply chain of the product, which in the fashion industry is often highly complex. The company hopes to increase transparency in the industry and thereby also to pressure companies to reduce environmental and human exploitation. In order to really make a difference, Neliana Fuenmayor, founder of A Transparent Company, argues that legislation for transparency is needed as well.
