Will gene editing lead to a future without cancer?

Over the last five years huge progress has been made in the development of gene editing techniques. As a consequence it might be possible to ban cancer and inherited dieseases, according to Dr Edze Westra, a bioscientist from the University of Exeter. However, despite those great achievements there will always be a critical view because of the long-term risks of the technology.
