The SpaceX Hyperloop competition started in 2015. The past weekend, qualifiers got the opportunity to test their Hyperloop pod on the SpaceX track for the first time. 30 teams were picked to participate by SpaceX in 2016. Two international university teams made it to the test phase on the past weekend. The Delft Hyperloop team of the Delft University got the highest overall score. A team from the TU Munich invented the fastest pod and the team from the MIT made it to the third place. The final phase of the competition will take place in summer this year.
