According to the World Bank, Cities around the globe are failing to prepare for growing climate and disaster risk such as extreme weather conditions. In reference of a new report from the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), annual total damages caused by river and coastal floods alone could put 1.3 billion people and 158 trillion USD at risk by 2050.
