World Bank: Global water shortages could damage economies

According to the World Bank, water shortages will damage the economies of the Middle East, central Asia, and Africa by 2050. Due to the growing demand for water in cities and agriculture, shortages could worsen in parts of Africa and Asia – even regions rich in water could be put in short supply.
