The largest floating photovoltaic facility in the world went online in China recently, and is now connected to the local power grid. The 40-megawatt facility was constructed with help from photovoltaic inverter manufacturer Sungrow Power Supply Co. and follows a similar project in 2016 that operates 20 megawatts. Showing commitment to its effort to drive forward renewable energy adoption, China is confident that by 2020, prices offered to photovoltaic developers could be lowerd by more than a third.
