Swedish solar technology company Sol Voltaics has raised $21.3 million to accerlarate the rollout of SolFilm, their technology for increasing solar panel efficiency. This marks the largest finance raise for a European solar technology company since 2015.
The company claims SolFilm can boost the efficiency of regular solar panels from around 20 percent to 27 percent, nearly a 50 percent increase. Backers include Norwegian firm Watrium AS, Blue Marlin AB, and Nano Future Invest.
