The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has been accredited as an implementing organisation by the Green Climate Fund. Now the organization can apply for financing from the fund for projects. In cooperation with interested partner countries the GIZ will conduct projects for the fund in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The projects are supposed to improve local climate change effects and support the population in adapting climate change impacts.
