Enel Green Power Mexico has begun construction of the Villanueva solar power park, a combination of two projects that will soon form the largest solar power park across the Americas. With a combined capacity of 754 megawatts, the park will generate 1,700 GWh per year from the middle of 2018 on. This is enough to provide 1.3 million households with power, and enough to replace 780,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Enel invested $650 million to realize the project.
