The first all-electric school bus of the UAE region has entered its final testing phase. The 45 foot bus is also one of the first in the whole world. Emirates Transport will deploy the battery-powered vehicle, and has also cooperated with manufacturer Shanghai Sunwin Bus Corporation to speed up the process.
“The launch of a Zero Emission school bus comes as part of our efforts to achieve the vision of the government for a green economy and puts the UAE in the forefront of such initiatives, regionally and globally,” general manager of Emirates Transport, Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, said.
