Engineering researchers from Canada’s University of Waterloo might have found a solution to the problem of texting and driving on streets. They developed a system that uses cameras and artificial intelligence to tell whether you are engaged in distracting activities.
The smart cameras analyze hand movements that are not regular driving behavior, and then evaluate the threat level based on the length of the actions and information about other cars in the surrounding area.
