Google is planning to crowdsource data from 30 million Local Guides globally to make their maps tool more useful to people with mobility challenges. The army of Google maps users can then contribute with tips and pictures of establishments for points and small prizes such as digital storage space.

Contributors will just have to answer simple questions about wheelchair accessibility, and, in addition, Google will be hosting workshops focused on mobility in the coming weeks. Participating are, for example, New York, London, Tokyo, and Surabaya.
