Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) revealed TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency), a zero waste rating system that is designed to help businesses, industrial sectors and schools quantify their performance and find additional ways to move toward zero waste.
Building on the LEED green building rating system, TRUE focuses on zero waste goals exclusively. “It is a journey and every step takes businesses closer to zero waste while finding new opportunities to save money and natural resources, create higher efficiency, engage employees and build customer loyalty,” said Stephanie Barger, director, market transformation & development, TRUE.
