The first step towards a comprehensive regional electric charging network in the West of the US is taken. Governors of seven states (Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming) signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding which when realized, enables electric vehicles to travel comfortably along 5,000 miles of freeways. A large number of recharging stations will be installed, responding to the predicted increase of numbers of electric vehicles.
