Android Auto wants to replace your infotainment system

A lot of cars have built-in infotainment software, but technology cmpanies are offering more intuitive alternatives. Providing a more thought-out package, Google’s system is called Android Auto. Just like Apple CarPlay, it is designed to minimize distractions, and thus make driving safer.

Features include a Google Maps-powered navigation system, porting over destinations from your phone, surfing the web, access to millions of songs, all respondent to voice commands.

Smartphone users will find a familiar interface with cards to swipe and large icons.
