Multilateral development banks continue climate financing

The 2016 Joint Report on Multilateral Development Banks’ Climate Finance published this week has revealed that $27.4 billion in climate financing in developing countries have been contributed by the world’s six largest multilateral development banks, continuing their commitment.

The African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank Group and the World Bank Group all view this financing as vital to prevent further global warming and increase living quality across the planet.

Counting co-financing from other investors, money mobilized for climate action even exceeds $65 billion.
