AT&T, the American global network service, will launch a network for IoT technology. By using LTE-M technology devices are connected and able to go online. LTE-M is a version of the same cellular technology used by smartphones in order to get a high-speed connection to the internet. LTE-M devices last about 10 years on one charge. Moreover, the technology can penetrate 8 inches or even thicker walls so the technology is especially useful for objects and devices that are in buildings or areas with a lot of interference.
