Audi is offering public demonstration drives for trips with their Audi A7 piloted driving concept Jack. Jack drives along Germany’s Digital Motorway Test Bed north of Munich, and participants are surveyed afterwards for the development of automated driving functions.
The vehicle accelerates, brakes and changes lane predictively and smoothly, and cooperates with other cars on the road. What makes Jack special is its entral driver assistance controller (zFAS). The zFAS takes signals from all the sensors to generate a detailed image of the car’s surroundings.
