BYD, a leader in electric bus production, has officially joined the Soot-Free cities initiative, which pushes for electric urban bus fleets.
Focusing on 20 large cities, the initiative wants to get rid of sources of soot to clean up the air. BYD has said it will facilitate the purchase of its zero-emissions buses starting next year. To the company, Soot-Free cities is a win because it highlights the benefits of electric buses to city governments as well as to the people.
