The Mercedes factory in Untertürkheim, Stuttgart, will soon be prepared for the future electric mobility unit. Daimler has arranged an agreement with the local work council which guarantees the construction of a new e-technology center, the “E-Technikum”. At the facility the prototype electric powertrains will be constructed. At the same time those powertrains and certain components will also be assembled. The E-Technikum will almost entirely focused on electric powertrain and engine production.
