London’s mayor Sadiq Khan announced that older and more polluting cars will have to pay charge of 10 BP to drive in the city centre from October, 23. The fee is called T-charge. After warnings about the bad air quality in London have been released this week, Sadiq Khan announced the new fee. The city has also launched a vehicle checker on the the city’s website for drivers to check whether their cars will be affected by the new regulation. It is expected that up to 10,000 of the oldest and most polluting cars that drive in the center every week are affected.
