According to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook plans to use AI in order to detect posts that promote terrorism. This step comes along with the growing concern about terrorists recruting fellows on social networks. However, the plan requires sophisticated software being able to distinguish between news stories about terrorist attacks and efforts to recruit on behalf of a terrorist organization. Last October, the Department of Justice told CNBC domestic terrorism begins with communication on social media in most cases so the idea is to use AI to understand more quickly what happens across the community and thus keeping people safe.
