Dubai, with a recent live demonstration of a flying taxi developed by the Germany-based firm Volocopter, is making strides towards becoming the first city in the world to have flying taxis.
The drone taxis have no remote control guidance and have a maximum flight duration of half an our. To present itself as a future oriented society, Dubai will now continue testing and implement the taxis in the near future.
“Encouraging innovation and adopting the latest technologies contributes not only to the country’s development but also builds bridges into the future,” Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said.
