The European Commission launched “Europe on the Move” to modernize European transport and mobility. “Europe on the Move” is a wide-ranging set of initiatives encouraging the shift towards transport and mobility that focusses on clean energy and digitalization while also keeping the sector socially fair and competitive. The structured transformation of the sector is of great importance as it employs 5 million Europeans, while also contributing to nearly one fifth of Europe’s GHG emissions.
