From now on not only diesel cars (pictured) can be refuelled at Cobham service station at M25, but also drivers of hydrogen powered vehicles can fill up their car. Image source: Shutterstock (#175113116) by Semmick Photo.
The oil and energy company Shell has opened its first hydrogen vehicle refuelling station in the UK at the Cobham service station on the M25. Later this year two more stations are planned. Shell teamed up with the hydrogen specialist ITM Power. ITM Power supplied the first public hydrogen refuelling station. The stations only produce heat and water from the tailpipe and are based on a zero emission technology. The Hydrogen vehicles drive up to 700 km without refuelling.
