Auto giant Ford, continuing its excursion into the smart city market, has teamed up with UK-based start-up Strawberry Energy to provide 20 Smart Benches across London. These benches will let people use solar-powered Wi-Fi and free mobile phone charging.
Monitoring environmental indicators such as noise, carbon dioxide, humidity, and temperature, the benches provide all the data they collect to the public and local authorities for free as well.
