According to IKEA’s latest Annual Summary for the UK, the company is well on its way to minimize waste as well as encourage customers to consume more sustainably. For two years in a row now, IKEA has sent no waste to landfills in the UK, instead diverting it for reuse, energy generation, and recycling into new products.

The company has also revealed that it is cost-positive for cardboard and plastic as old products are used to make new ones. The furniture take-back scheme has also been expanded.
